Dermatology Practice Management

The Dermatology Management System (DMS) is the most comprehensive Practice / Business Management Software system for the Dermatology profession available on the market today. Billing

DMS guides you through the process. All data is listed alphabetically or a pop-up selection is offered (as it is throughout the entire system) leaving only a keystroke to select. All information is gathered at billing time for insurance processing. In fact, insurance processing is a complete by-product of billing. A patient can be provided with a walkout receipt as well as a printed insurance form. The billing process automatically updates various files; i.e. Schedule (that patient kept their appointment), date of the last visit or exam, billing primary and secondary insurance carriers. DMS will calculate services based upon private, corporate, or other insurance rates. The system will handle all forms of account receivables including time payments.

Insurance

The preparing and transmitting of insurance claims is also a by-product of the billing process. You have the option of printing forms one by one or as a batch. All Medicare claims are transmitted (free) electronically both for services and DME. In most states you can also receive Remittance Status and information for claims sent. You can also transmit to 400 of the larger insurance companies ($.00 - .35 per claim). DMS keeps track of insurance receivables and automatically handles rollover to secondary carriers. As far as Medicare the DMS edit eliminates 99% of the errors that cause claim rejection, thus providing faster payment of claims. The program learns what different insurance companies pay for various procedures and modifies itself.

Scheduling

DMS gives you scheduling at your fingertips. "Hot Key" activation is available from many areas of the program and when you're done you return to where you were before scheduling. The system immediately updates the patient record as to the scheduled appointment so at anytime the information can be retrieved by a lookup of the patient file. The scheduler is automatically updated as appointments are kept. Unkept appointments can be listed or reminders automatically printed. Many options are available from scheduling in setting 10, 12, or 15 minute increments, to blocking out days and next available search function. Scheduling for up to 36 doctors or staff is available.

Patient Information

DMS lets you search for a patient in numerous ways without knowing their name and you can add new patients from various locations within the program. You can also have patients with the same name. Family members may be linked regardless of name. A feature attractive to all that use our DMS software is the 799 lines available for specific notes on each patient as well as their medical records.

Recalls

DMS allows 26 options to be preset for Recall reasons for your patients. These can be used to automatically process recalls based on the preset reason for the selected months.

Letters / Extracts / Marketing

Closely connected with Recalls is the process of extracting specific patient information for marketing. DMS has over 100 criteria selections that may be used to search for selected patients. The DMS comes with over 300 different types of proven letters. These letters can be modified or new ones can be created. These letters can be automatically personalized with specific data (over 90 variables) from the patients' database.

Inventory

DMS easily handles various types of inventories. As your office bills merchandise your inventory is reduced All the basic data is stored by inventory item and is easily retrieved by alpha look-up, SKU number or bar code. Reports can be produced in various sequences such as Product name, Manufacturer, Supplier, Inventory Number, Year-to-date order, etc.

Conversions

In most cases, M.S. Group Software, Inc. will perform a free conversion from your existing computer system. We have converted hundreds of offices to our system. To date, we have not encountered a system we could not convert.

Hardware

DMS is designed to run on a PC, 386 or faster. A M.S. Group representative will provide network requirements including everything required to be up and running. DMS will also run under Windows 3.xx, Windows 9x, NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Linux, and Citrix Winframe.
